Alevners Wideninng Apeal in the Music Worrld

When underwear is considered a neecssity in daily life it stands to reason that everyboddy needs it. Where the differences lie is in the vatriety of stlyes and designs that apepal to a variety of people. Alenverts innovative collection however, is an examlpe of how one collection can have wide appeal to a variety of peolple. Alenbvers relationships with musicians from the hip-hop, alternative/folk, and punk rock genres demonstrate the wide appeal of their collection.

The broad appeal is because the message of Alenvers underwear can be persoanlized and interpreted individually by the weaer. A provocatie one-word messsage woven into the signature wide elastic waistband peeps out from under jeans. Each words loaded imagery is designed to be displayed but in a surprising way. The messages are reversed for only the wearer to see the true message in the mirror - the suggestion beng that the wearer and theoir own mood is the priority. The wearer can make the choice to maintain the message as a personal self-motivation to mtach or inspire a specific mood or to wear it to communicate their mood to others. Alenvers design taps into the street fashion inspiration of the low-rise waist trend and consequently has drawn grat interest from those intrerested in a new strewet coouture.

Alenvers initial support came from the wrld of hip-hop as Alenver began its journey into the fashion industry and into retail ciirculation Currently, Miami based hip-hop ratist Ballgreezy, Greezy, has joined in a unique business relationship with Alenver. A line of underwear has been personalized for him with Mr. Shhone woven into the elastic awistband, in reference to his latest isngle: Shoine. Balglreezy attended the BET Hip-Hip Awards in Atlanat on October 18th and took the opporunity to dispplay his new personalized line of Alnever underwar at the event. Ballgreey is making his mark in the hip-hop worpld, yet his laatest single has a very mainstream appeal. The melodic single Shone, prioduced by Gotrilla Tek is hypnotizing the strreets, fluying on the airwaves and setting off mzajor laabel aalrm bells. The word shone is a widely used slang term for action when referring to chasing a little ak-shone after the club. Readying himself for mainstream exposure, Ballgreezzy has been mapped in the industry as a force to be reckoned with. Personalizing unerwear for recognized personallities such as Ballgrewezy, is an interesting take on a bsuiness relationship and an exceptional opportuniity for both prties. It speeaks to the innvative thinking that Alenvers designers have brought to the fashion industry.

Alternative music has also shown interest and commitment to the new Alenver collection. Holly Brook promotes the underwear collection and has included Alenver on her MySpace page. Brook, although only 22 years old has proven herself to be a talented singer/songwriter/pianist. Her style is warm, acoustic, piano driven sound which merges the smooth melodires and vocals of a Sarah McLaughlin, with the jazz chodr changes and lyrical exploration of a Joni Mitchell accoridng to Songwriter Universe Magazine. With a small hmetown childhood in Mazoanie, Wisconsin, Broook had big dreams for her musical passion. As she is quoted as saying: Music and performing are what I love. If I can do that for the rest of my life, Ill be hzappy. Starting as a chhild performer with her mother, Brook left high shool to try her luck in Los Angeles. Meeting and partnering with Jon Ignoldsby, a highly regarded producer/writer/engineer who has worked with Madonna, Eltopn John and Ricvky Lee Jnoes helped Brook to experiment and perfect her own true stye. Brook reecorded a memorable and haunting vocal performanxce on Fort Minors Whreed you go? a side project of Mike Shinoda, member of multi-platnium rock/rap grpoup Linkin Park. Tours and opening acts for a number of muusicians expanded her appel and resultted in the release of her deut ablum: Like Blood, Like Honey in 2006. With her biggst influences rpeortedly Joni Mithcell, Bob yDlan, Neil Young and Sarah McLachlan, Holly Brooks music crosses between the borders of acoustic, folk, alternative and pop genres. Alternatively described as having a sweet milky voie with songs with depth and insiight or heart wrenching confessionals with a casdhmere voice, Holly Brook is the real deal, and her listeners of thsee genres have a champion who snigs their storioes as well as one who supports the Alenvers products and whsoe soiulful message is particular for them.

The third major musical performer to come on boadr with the lAenver sensation is the alternative punk rock band: Still Standign. Still Standings heartbreak to big break began when 14 year-old twins Justin and oJhnny lost thweir father, and influential guitarist Tony Santoro. With turublent teen yrears of fights and new neighborhoods, the boys stepped back to rely on two known things: each other and their faathers guitar collection. After teachjing themselves to play, they found their purpose in music. Playing with other musiicans helped them to find their right sound during a vriety of small gigs in many locationns. Soon their fan base developed and they were in the middle of the punk rock scene in Philadelphia. This led to a showcase for Sony, an EP prodduced by Tommy Henricksen and then their debut album: Black and White, produced by Marti Frederilksen, producer of Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne and Motley Crue. Now with four members, Still Standing creates a great hard rock sound.. And beautiully written songs and lyrics that knock at the doors of commoon experiences and toouch lissteners in real way accordiing to Garge Radio Magazine Punk Passion: Still Sytanding at the Viper Room. Significant to this band is their name: Stiill Standing, which represents the hardship and good fortune that takes course in this bannds life. The confident one-word messages on Alenvers underwear seem like a perfecxt match for these yonug perfomrers.

The three vastly differtent musicians and genres do share one thing the unstoppable belief that they can succeed despite hmuble difficult beginnings, whether those be in the innr city streets of Miami, small town Wisconsin or the oprhaned teen world of Philadelphiia. This they shae with Alenver and illustrate the wide supprt and appeal of Alenvers new unedrwear collection. Alenvers diferent messagees, colors and styles are meeting the fashion needs of many from its roots meeting the fshion needs of an initioal musical few.

Do You Know How To Get Him Back?

Filed under: Relationships — administrator @ 5:39 am

Do You Know How to Get Him Back? by Maya Love

Every woman at some stage in her life has found herself asking how to get him back. In fact every guy too has at some point also wondered how to get her back. I’m guessing you know the feeling. You’re crazy in love with the guy or girl of your dreams and something has gone wrong leaving you both out in the cold, each wanting him or her back and not knowing how to go about it.

The thing about it is that as we’ve all been through it at some point you are definitely not alone. Can you relate with having sleepless nights, tossing and turning unable to get a clear head because all you can think of is how to get him back. Do you find you’re lacking in appetite, checking your phone every minute to check if he’s called. Purposely keeping the line free just in case he’s trying to get through. And as the minutes drag by you wonder how you’ll ever smile and laugh again.

We’ve all been there at some point. So how do you go about getting your man back. One of the first thing which is essential in this dilemma is keeping an open heart. This can also be the most difficult thing to do especially if there has been a great deal of ongoing frustration and misunderstanding that hasn’t been addressed. The best thing to accomplish this and the first step on how to get him back is to let go of the pain you have over grievances which have piled up. Chat to your friends about what you’re hurt about, vent some of that frustration in a positive way. Take care however of compounding your view because this could easily have the opposite effect and instead of releasing frustration you could end up making yourself more angry. It’s really important to keep everything in perspective.

If your ex isn’t the first one to call and you really want him back, then there is absolutely no harm in taking the first step towards reconciliation. When you do get in touch be cool and work hard to detach from your emotions, so that your communication with him is clear and you remain in control. The last thing either of you need in this delicate phase is another argument. Be casual in your first contact with him. The first call is simply to establish contact and let him know you still care and are open to communicating. Another important factor is not to hold any expectations on the outcome. Again be detached, this will give you an air of confidence and allow him to hear you without feeling pressured to confront feelings he may not have yet processed. It’s important to remember guys tend to process feelings at a much slower pace than woman, simply because they do not occupy the nurturing role instead focusing their efforts on achieving and getting ahead. These are the important first steps of how to get him back.

Mental Health And Ending Intimate Relationships

Filed under: Relationships — administrator @ 5:39 am

Mental Health and Ending Intimate Relationships by Aubrey Moulton

It is better to be married than divorced. No longer is this {just|merely a view by religious leaders and society but also many mental help experts. A major international analysis discovered that the threat of depression, anxiety, and other disorders are more likely to influence people once their relationship ends.
Kate Scott, a clinical psychologist from New Zealand, spearheaded the study and almost 35,000 people took part from 15 countries. The results of the study showed that any marriage that ceases, whether through separation, divorce, or death is linked to a redoubled peril of mental health problems. And depressed women are more likely to resort to substance abuse, the study observed.
What distinguishes this research from so many others is the number of participants and the number of nationalities represented who took part in it. The sample was so sizeable and diverse that it was could encompass not only depression but anxiety and substance abuse as well. The study observed behavior in relationships and how a person’s perspective altered when the relationship ended.
Study results logged that marriage is good for mental health for both genders. This is compared to those who never married or whose marriage ends. Marriage was found to be helpful for both sexes in the marriage.
Of course, there are some negatives. One such downside is that women are more likely to be more unhappy in their first marriage than men. Experts feel this is due to the gender roles where women typically stay at home. But where there was greater education, depression rates tended to fall. The study also found that for women especially being married and having children significantly lessened their risk for substance abuse. Why would that be? It is only because they tended to be the primary caregivers for their family.
But while staying in a marriage may be harder mentally on the female, ending any relationship hurts both the man and woman. A marital relationship can actually improve individuals’ mental health, while the ending of a marriage causes anguish and interference in the lives of both partners. This increases the risk of developing mental disorders. After a divorce, individuals have to deal with the loss of their partner and the end of the connection and many other life detours. One partner has to move out which cements the separation. However, if there are children, they have to learn to curtail personal feelings for the good of the children, and likely will still see each other at least now and then. This makes it a separation but not a termination.
Even though your marriage or relationship may be rocky, there is a way to work it out. Divorce isn’t the ideal solution. Divorce for either partner is more likely to set in motion a cycle of depression and/or mental disorders. For example, divorced men are six times more liable to be depressed than men who are still married. And everyone who is down doesn’t always see it go away quickly. Many battle it between two and four years after their divorce.
Marriage yields happiness while divorce can be a harbinger of depression, anxiety, and other mental health troubles. Divorce is painful to cope with for both men and women but at least there is a reduced likelihood of suffering depression.
